Hey friend! I’m Iruoma.
Welcome to my little space on the internet (l still can’t belive i get to say that!). My name is Iruoma Osonwa, but most of my friends call me “Irus”. In a nutshell, A Dash of Iruoma (ADI) is primarily a beauty and lifestyle blog but it’s not a regular lifestyle blog. I love Jesus and my faith is a huge defining factor of who I am and my worldview.
My Mission and Vision
To help you learn about beauty and skincare tips, the Christian faith, and all about lifestyle! This is so that the “ADI” lady is inspired and positively impacted to live her life holistically, aware of her growth and willing to inspire others.
Are you ready?
I am from Anambra state, Nigeria but I currently live with my parents in Lagos. I’m the first of 6 kids (yup! It’s crazy fun during the holidays). Currently, I’m a medical student of the College of Medicine UNILAG, content creator, and a big dreamer.
Why am I doing this?
For so long, I held back on sharing my stories and starting a blog. I thought everything that had to be said was already said. Plus fear was a huge factor. Not until I realized it was a big disservice to people. If you’re looking for a relatable space, then this is your zone.
I’m a homebody and introvert by nature. I enjoy spending my free time journaling, studying the bible, watching movies, and listening to podcasts. Traveling around the world is my fantasy and I love to get out and see new things occasionally, but I’ll rather be home. I know, it’s a paradox I’m living, haha
My favorite things are chocolate ice cream, listening to podcasts, seeing cute baby pictures, watching Foodnetwork and BBC lifestyle, chatting with friends, and rewarding myself after accomplishing major tasks. I tend to ask why a lot and it makes me want to learn everything about a topic of interest.
Listening to music anywhere possible is my go-to. I love all kinds of music but usually gravitate towards Rhythm, Soul, Bollywood, Classic, and Gospel.
I read both fiction and non-fiction. I used to be a ferocious reader, but I don’t know what happened. Re-learning that it is not just about how many books but what I learn and take from them. nonetheless, I’m headed to read more because I get inspired and challenged by themes.
My bad habits are being a perfectionist, getting hyper-focused on random things, and snoozing my alarm EVERY single time!
Now we’re acquainted, friend.
Welcome. It’s so good to have you here!
